Be Informed about Reform

Reform , reforming the night club scene

Established 10 years, Reform has earned a reputation for being a quality night out in more ways than one - first class music, nice crowd, sensible price.

It’s renowned for musically credible events with the emphasis on it being a special, party atmosphere as opposed to just a regular club night. Led by co-founder Harvey Bailey (see left), the ‘collective’ of people that make it happen are very party orientated and refreshingly,

"it’s run for love not money by a large group of people
who obviously thoroughly enjoy what they do"
.

Where many dance clubs have suffered in recent years, "Reform seems to go from strength to strength" because it appeals to most people who like dance music of some kind, and it doesn’t pigeon-hole itself into one genre.

It’s a musical journey from the old skool garagey US sound of the early nineties to upfront, dubby tribal house with all sorts of funky, jazzy stuff mixed in. The dancefloorís always bumpin with top quality music.

"Add to that a friendly, up-for-it crowd and it makes
for a memorable night out thatís hard to top
."

Reform were snapped up by Strongbow to provide the music for the Strongbow Rooms UK festival tours in 2000 and 2001. This meant high profile DJ slots for Harvey and right hand man Jim Frost at the UKís biggest festivals including Homelands, Godís Kitchen, Gatecrasher, Essential and Ministry to name but a few.

After 2 years of doing parties in London and most recently Worthing and Brighton (Concorde2 on Dec 27th),
Reform are making a very welcome return to their home stomping ground for a massive New Year’s Eve event, (see advert inside front cover),
kindly supported yet again by local business Nation. Following their enormously successful Millennium event which was a complete sell-out, they are returning to The Venue in Quarry Lane, Chichester for what looks like an event not to be missed, and certainly will be unique in this area.

With a capacity of 800 and a bar until 4am, Harvey Bailey will be joined by world renowned DJ Justin Robertson who was a Ministry of Sound resident, Creamís resident at Bugged Out and who is a well respected DJ from the early days of the underground house scene. There will be 3 rooms to showcase the finest music collectives in this area, catering for many musical genres including fine underground house, nu-skool breaks, funky bass, hip-hop, nu-jazz, reggae and allsorts inbetween. And when you’ve seen the live video link to Big Ben at midnight, shaken your booty and chilled for a bit, why not have the ultimate laugh and enter Reform’s own “It’s a Knockout” competition? Yes you did read that correctly". Inside the main room they will have a full inflatable adult’s playground to include (exact tbc)

Bungee Run
Ski/Surf simulator
Roly-Poly Sumo Wrestling
Gladiator Jousting.

At a bargain price of just £15 for so much fun under one roof, we have a feeling this one will be the first choice NYE destination for any self respecting partygoer!
