Rapture dipped into into the Med this month

‘SEN’ Mediteranean Restaurant & Tapas Bar

at 6 Sudley Road Bognor Regis or St pancras Chichester

One of the best things about working for Rapture is getting to eat out every month and trying restaurants that I probably wouldn’t choose for myself. This has nothing to do with them personally…

"I just think that most of us tend to stick to what we know".

This month we visited Sen, The Mediterranean and Tapas Bar in Chichester. For a Tuesday night the restaurant was really busy. We were greeted by the manager…

"Bilal Ozturk, a lovely guy with so much energy it’s exhausting watching him"

We were shown to our table and left to peruse the menus at our leisure. Nothing is rushed or hurried at the Sen, which is rather pleasant.

Once our orders had been taken (We left this to Billy as we couldn’t pronounce half of the dishes that we had chosen) we sat back and took in the atmosphere. On the wall to our right was a mural stretching the length of the restaurant. It depicted a mountain village scene and the whole thing was illuminated with some clever lighting.

For starters I chose ‘Potato Salad’, It was like cold mashed potatoes blended with tomato’s and spices. It wasn’t what I was expecting, but I got stuck in anyway.

"It was bursting with flavour and delivered quite a kick in the aftertaste"

Great if you like your food to have a bit of a bite. For the main course I had ‘Pollo al Horna’, tender pieces of chicken topped with spinach and smothered in a sauce which was rich and creamy, delicious but very filling.

"All main courses are served with either rice or deep fried potatoes"

To finish it all of I opted for the ‘Bombe Bianco’ for desert, smooth vanilla ice cream, coated in white chocolate and decorated with chocolate sauce. If you feel the need for something different to wash it all down with then……

I would highly recommend that you try a ‘Flaming Sen’, the house cocktail. Guaranteed to "blow your socks off"

The prices for a meal for four is more than reasonable. If your looking for somewhere to eat out, that won’t break the bank, but still has life and atmosphere then pay the Sen a visit, you won’t be disappointed!
