Jamie has recently been joined by Peter Newberry, an engineer who is providing technical support at the studio. Having played in bands in and around Bognor and Worthing he took himself off to study Music Technology in Derby for 4 years. He came back to Bognor with a degree and the intention of working with other local musicians and set about emailing as many local studios as possible. Jamie was one of those who responded, and the rest as they say, is history.

Jamie feels that the music scene in Chichester has livened up in the past few years but still has a way to go.

He and Peter hope to help push things forward on this front by offering musicians of all types the chance to put professional sounding tracks down while keeping the costs realistic.

At £99 for four hours in the studio plus everything mastered, mixed and then burned onto CD it makes the dream a little more accessible.

Jamie’s theory that a band is “only as good as your willing to pay for” is a driving force behind the goals of Jam Studios, “its not just about recording people, its about making a great recording”.
Hopefully we’ll be seeing musicians of this quality emerging from Jam Studios in the not too distant future.
