Chichester based AWA began Airtight Studios Battle of the Bands competition. They gave a competent display of largely folk tinged covers. A pleasant performance and there is a certainly an audience there for this easy listening approach, but they didn’t really grab the attention due to an absence of innovation or a cutting edge.

Next up are Southampton’s Dead Jack’s (punk-metal) before Grifter unleash their new unhinged space-rock on 3/7. Then its Aubrey Lemmon’s power pop on 17/7 and Penfolds indie rock on 31/7.
