3TO club

Rapture goes clubbing…

It was the first Saturday of the month and one of those rare occasions when Rapture were at a loose end .

We ventured out to see what we could do, and found ourselves outside 3TO, a clubbers paradise in Worthing.

at 3TO Chapel Road, Worthing

Unusually for a nightclub you find yourself being met at the door with a smile, rather than some great ape who makes you feel that you’re being warned about your behaviour before you’ve even set foot in the door.

Once inside you’re hit by the sound and lights of room 1. If you’re into Hard House (a regular theme on the first Saturday of the month) then this is the place for you .

Everyone is up and dancing which is exactly what they want at 3TO, wall flowers and slackers are scarce .

You’ll even find that the door staff are up for it. If that doesn’t get you going then maybe the podium dancers will!

Leaving the Hard House behind we ventured into the bar area where they were playing Funky House (having a child who constantly listens to Bob the Builder this is all new to me ). It was very Balearic and Latin sounding in room 2 which added a lighter twist to the evening. The atmosphere was much more intimate and friendly, not to mention full of women .Once you get chatting to people you discover that it’s not just locals that visit the club , but a lot of people from outside the area.

If you make your way back through the bar and into the dance area you find yourself in The Pit. Down there they had a four deck set and it was a frenzy of people dancing, a haven for the hard core clubber.

By the end of the night you’re going to be danced off your feet, so trainers are a must. But be warned, if anything gets spilt on the dance floor the very domesticated staff will be charging in with their trusty mops.

It’s such a regular occurrence that it’s become known as “The Mop Dance”..

The great thing about 3TO is the respect. If it’s given by the visitors, it’s given back by the staff. They make a real effort to remember all the regular clubbers by name ,giving it a kind of community feel which is a rare thing nowadays
